API

Screenshot'er provides a simple RESTful API which will allow you to integrate the Screenshot'er functionality into your projects and websites.

Endpoint

The API endpoint is accessible by using the following URL:

Or via HTTPS by using the following URL:

Parameters

The API supports the following GET parameters, all parameter values must be URL encoded:

uri

The URI of the web address you want to screenshot. This is the only parameter which is required.

viewport

The viewport size at which the screenshot should be taken, the supported values are:

  • desktop: 1280 pixels wide [default]
  • tablet: 1024 pixels wide
  • smartphone: 320 pixels wide

type

The type of screenshot to be taken, the supported values are:

  • full: a screenshot of the entire page [default]
  • cropped: a cropped screenshot of the page
  • selector: a screenshot of a particular element based on a jQuery selector

size

The size of the exported screenshot, the supported values are:

  • small: 140 pixels wide
  • medium: 280 pixels wide
  • large: 420 pixels wide [default]
  • original: the original viewport width (i.e. not resized)

format

The format of the exported screenshot, the supported values are:

  • png: PNG image format [default]
  • jpg: JPG image format
  • gif: GIF image format

selector

Only to be used in combination with type=selector, it allows you to specify a jQuery selector of the element of the page you wish to take a screenshot of. The result of the selector must be unique, for example:
